Got a call this week from Secret World Wildlife Rescue to pick up a Carrion Crow from an Exeter vets. I am a volunteer response driver and it is such a great opportunity to help an injured animal by driving them to SWWR. As it is a bit of a drive I took the opportunity of going on the feeding round with some of the people that work there. Hope you enjoy the beautiful residents that were being fed that afternoon.

Baby Deer | South West Wildlife Rescue
As a volunteer response driver for South West Wildlife Rescue Centre I was phoned with two bird rescues on Tuesday night. So, the first was 2 baby Robins from Exeter that had been ousted from their nesting box by a cat and were only 2 days old! Their 2 brothers unfortunately died and they themselves were really quite cold. But, with hot water bottles and cotton wool I managed to get them warm and they survived the night and I came in to see that they were opening their beaks to be fed when I got up in the morning! I then snuggled the 2 baby birds into a cosy basket with hot water bottle and set off to Wellington to collect a chirpy fledgling sparrow that was in a box. All 3 charges were good on arrival at Secret World. While at Secret World Wildlife Rescue the lovely volunteer Lidia took me to see some of the incredible rescued animals. I was absolutely knocked out by the wonderful work that they all do to rehabilitate and release these gorgeous creatures. The resident foxes were in playful mood and their spectacular ears reminded me of my gorgeous lurcher dog, Shady. I was allowed to take a few pictures of an orphaned tiny baby deer recently brought in. The fawn will be habituated to only 3 people and then when ready will be allowed to mix with other deer. Here are some of the pics taken in the little stable.
